Successful Pitching and Catching Clinic Wraps Up, Inspires Young Softball Athletes
The Tottenham-Beeton District Minor
Softball Association (TBDMSA) celebrated a successful close to its highly
anticipated Softball Pitching and Catching Clinic today, drawing 33 young
athletes eager to sharpen their skills to prepare for the upcoming softball
season.
Held at the Tottenham Community Centre Gym during the month of April, the clinic was led by Sasha Laroque to instruct participants through a dynamic series of drills and one-on-one training sessions.
Pitchers and catchers ranging in age from 8 to 19 worked on mechanics, technique and strategy — all essential elements for excelling at their positions.
“This clinic wasn’t just about learning new skills — it was about building confidence, encouraging leadership, and showing these young players what’s possible through hard work and passion,” said Sasha.
Parents and players alike praised the event for its organization, energy, and lasting impact. Many expressed excitement for future clinics and camps hosted by TBDMSA.
The TBDMSA plans to continue offering and promoting local specialized training opportunities throughout the year, with upcoming clinics already being planned for this summer.
Special thanks to Sasha’s assistants Jamie, Dan and Lisa for their hard work and dedication to support our athletes.
